Average Download Speed
3.1 Mb/s
Average Upload Speed 0.3 Mb/s
Latency 63 ms

The table above explains nearly everything that can be recorded. Well, I did a stretch test on P1 Wiggy. Anyway, you can choose not to believe the accuracy of this Wiggy that is given to me as it’s a little faulty. Let’s name it as HeHeHunter’s Cool Wiggy. I will talk more about it later.

Oh yea, in case you might not know, Wiggy supports Windows 7, as tested by me on 14th April 2009. I even heard rumors that it can be used by other Operating System aside from Windows such as Linux and Mac, but I could not confirm the source. Besides that, do support Wiggy White Colour Edition!

Direct Download (DDL)

First, I try out DDL and Torrent using Thunder MOD. If you never heard of Thunder MOD, please Google it.

Since I was about to download some TV shows and now with 500MB limit on MegaUpload (MU), a whole episode of TV show which is around 350MB can be downloaded directly from MU with just one click. I am terribly sorry because I am unable to use Rapidshare (RS) on Thunder MOD. I would be happy to download from RS if they allow me to download the whole episode instead of splitting it into 2 to 6 parts.

Anyway, I am able to get an average of 250 KB/s from MU. When I reach around 10%, I stop the download. Oh, hell yea that you can resume from MU later on if you are a Normal Member of MU and you don’t need to be a Premium Member or whatever they call it.

Torrent (Thunder MOD)

Then I downloaded a .torrent file from Mininova, it’s a TV show torrent with 350MB size. I used Thunder MOD to download the file. Well, god knows that Thunder MOD is able to bypass ISP throttle, yes but not limited to Streamyx only. When I first start the torrent on the first minute, the speed was quite slow, an average of 60 KB/s. Well, I believe that this torrent needs a warm up anyway.

So, I wait for another minute and it spike up to 300 KB/s. Whoa! It’s 5 times of the previous speed. Then, when it reaches 10%, I stop the download.

Combo / Multi-task (DotA Edition)

This doesn’t really show the true capability of P1 Wiggy as I am just downloading a file one by one. So, I combine DDL and P2P at one go. When I start both task at one go, it seem like my P2P task is far behind from DDL.

DDL pwned P2P for

DDL pwned P2P for 192.55 KB/s

Since we know that P2P is late game Hero, DDL still owns.

DDL still pwns P2P

DDL still pwns P2P, but P2P is catching up!

Exactly 12 minutes later, it’s the End Hero’s Time. It seem like P2P owned DDL, at a large margin.

P2P pwned DDL back!

P2P pwned DDL back for 274.67 KB/s!

Anyway, the ‘match’ was completed within 60 minutes. It took an average of 1 hour to complete a download of 700MB.

Last but not least, a screenshot of max speed is provided for HeHeHunter’s Cool Wiggy to mark it’s speed territory.

Experiment (Wiggy On-The-Go!)

I did an experiment with Wiggy on-the-go where I am so lucky to be able to borrow a laptop from my cousin which I don’t have one in particular (I am from a quite poor family). Blame P1 for not giving me a free netbook. It would be much easier if they provide me with a netbook to do this experiment. So, what I did was do some surfing and speedtest at certain speed. Now, where is the payment for my car petrol? :-P

Driving Speed
Internet Download Speed Remarks
20 km/h 1.0 ~ 3.2 Mbps Surfing is fast
40 km/h 1.0 ~ 2.4 Mbps Limited Connection issues…
80 km/h 0.6 ~ 1.6 Mbps Start to DC frequently
90 km/h 0.3 ~ 0.5 Mbps Sometimes unable to connect or DC
100+ km/h - ~ – Mbps Totally unable to connect.

About my a little faulty Wiggy

Sometimes, I get limited connection. Sometimes, I get disconnected for no reason. Sometimes, I am unable to connect although I get full bar. Torrenting issues, normally windows will tell me “No network Access”. Since no one complained yet about such problem I am having, therefore I believe that it’s my Wiggy that is faulty. :-(

Conclusion

I am not promoting for Wiggy in this section but merely my own personal experiment on my side. You can choose not to believe the result I obtained and you may of course do your own experiment. I believe that Wiggy cannot unleash it’s potential on a moving vehicle at fast speed (100+ km/h). So, don’t even think to speed at PLUS highway just to test out Wiggy. You might get summoned by police. :-D

Enough of mummble jumble. Try it if you want and you can also apply Wiggy through my reseller. All you need to do is just fill in the form and viola~. WAIT! P1, you owe me a netbook!

Wiggy Supports Windows 7!

April 14th, 2009

From the Wiggy’s Sneak Preview, I was told that Wiggy only supports Windows XP and Windows Vista. Since I just fresh install Windows 7 recently, I tried out the interface and take a look in and out about Windows 7.

Well, since Wiggy was supposed to support XP and Vista only, I tried it out with Windows 7, yes, Windows 7.

First, what I did was to install the driver. Then I click on the P1 icon.
