Introduction

There are many people asking me how to import unfinished download from other torrent managers to Xunlei / Thunder. This tip is to teach you how to import everything and download with Xunlei / Thunder!

Preparation

Before importing, you need to do a few things. Go to ‘My Computer’, locate ‘Tools’ > ‘Folder Options…’

Then you move to ‘View’, un-tick ‘Hide extensions for known file types’.

If you are using BitComet previously, skip this step. Now, go look for the partially downloaded torrent file. Let’s say you are using uTorrent, look for file with file extension ‘!ut’. Rename the file extension to ‘bc!’. Then you’re done.

After that, start Hunter.exe.

Importing Files

Upon start Hunter.exe, Go to ‘Files’ > ‘Import File…’

Files > Import File...

Then search for the file with file extension ‘bc!’. Then click Open. You’re done!

Besides, it’s Intelligent Disk Cache technology effectively prolong your Hard Disk’s lifespan from crashing due to the high speed download. Xunlei / Thunder MOD is well known for it’s fake header for HTTP to download torrents via port 80. Therefore, it bypass ISP throttle and maximize the download speed.

Xunlei / Thunder MOD is modded by HeHeHunter where it significantly decrease the memory usage of a computer. However, original Thunder comes written in the Chinese language which makes it difficult those who can’t understand Chinese language and also the computers that isn’t pre-installed with a Chinese language reader. It has now built in English language support thanks to HeHeHunter for translating it into English.

Note: This is just pure torrent downloader and it does not integrate with any sites associated with original Xunlei client such as kankan and gougou.
